Herbed Yogurt and Goat Cheese Spread

Choose and prepare healthy food! By making your own cheese spread, you can control the amount of fat and salt that you add, as well as the quality of the ingredients.

Ìý±õ²Ô²µ°ù±ð»å¾±±ð²Ô³Ù²õ:

8 ozÌýReduced fat soft goat cheese, 21% M.F. or lessÌý250 mL
1 cupÌýPlain 1% M.F. yogurtÌý250 mL
1 cloveÌýGarlic, grated or finely crushedÌý1 clove
¼ cupÌýFresh basil leavesÌý60 mL
¼ cupÌýFresh parsley leavesÌý60 mL
2 TbspÌýFresh chives, choppedÌý30 mL
1 tspÌýFresh thyme, leaves pulled from the stemsÌý5 mL
1 tspÌýFresh rosemary, choppedÌý5 mL
2 TbspÌýExtra-virgin olive oilÌý30 mL
¼ tspÌýSea salt Ìý1 mL
¼ tspÌýFreshly ground pepperÌý1 mL

Directions:

1.ÌýIn a medium bowl, or food processor, blend the goat cheese, yogurt and garlic until smooth.
2.ÌýAdd the fresh herbs and stir or pulse until well blended, making it as smooth or chunky as you like; drizzle in half the olive oil. Add the salt and pepper.
3.ÌýAdd more yogurt, a squeeze of lemon or a few spoonfuls of water if the mixture is too thick.
4.ÌýTransfer to a bowl and drizzle with the remaining olive oil.

Makes 10 servings (approximately 45 mL/ 3 Tbsp/ 50 g)
