For Your Visit

Family presence and visiting information for Unit 68 / 78 is located on page 6 of the Patient and Family Welcome Booklet.

  • Don't bring any valuables such as money, credit cards or jewellery to the hospital. Âé¶¹Ó³»­ is not held responsible for any lost or stolen items during your stay.
  • Unit 68 / 78 have both single and multi-patient rooms. Rooms are assigned based on medical and patient needs. You can ask if a single room is available.
  • Visiting hours for Unit 78 are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • A family member is usually welcome to stay in hospital overnight. They must be able to stay alone and take care of their own needs. Speak with your healthcare provider.
  • Children under 14 years of are welcome to visit if they are with a responsible adult (other than the patient).
  • Anyone with a fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or a communicable disease (like chickenpox) must not come to the hospital. Remember to wash your hands before and after every visit, and before using the kitchen area.
  • Our Pet Policy

For the safety of all patients, families, and staff, unit doors are automatically locked after 11 p.m. There is an intercom you can use to contact staff when the doors are locked.

Finding Us

Unit 68 / 78 is on the 6th / 7th floor by the inpatient elevators. The front desk is through the automatic doors on the right. (use the hand swipe to open the doors)


What to Expect

Your team will begin working with you as soon as you return from surgery and are settled. You will have an orientation to the unit and general routines and then your team will help you with any pain or issues that you have and will start to get you up and moving the day of your surgery.

When you're ready to go home, you'll be given everything you will need to care for yourself at home, including prescriptions and follow-up appointment information.
