The Canadian Construction Association awards a Gold Seal to construction professionals in recognition of their excellence and ongoing professional development, and their years of experience and excellence.
When the South Health Campus is complete, it will apply for Silver Certification in the (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building program. This will make SHC the first greenfield, major tertiary health care facility in Canada to achieve this LEED designation. A greenfield site is one that has literally been built from the ground up.
