Good Earth Coffeehouse to open within the facility next year
GRANDE PRAIRIE ¡ª Grande Prairie Regional Hospital will have a new on-site restaurant next year to serve staff and visitors.
A contract has been signed to bring in Good Earth Coffeehouse, which is expected to open in the Âé¶¹Ó³» (AHS) facility next spring or summer.
¡°This is a significant step in enhancing the experience for everyone at the hospital,¡± says Carol Ellendt, AHS Acting Senior Operating Officer, Nutrition and Food Services, Laundry and Environmental Services. ¡°We are confident that Good Earth Coffeehouse will provide high-quality meal options that meet the diverse needs of the community.¡±
The restaurant will be located in existing shelled-in cafeteria space, adjacent to the main hospital entrance. Work to prepare the space will begin in the coming months, including design, construction, equipment installation and staff training.
¡°We understand that the wait has been long, and we are committed to bringing a high-quality, Âé¶¹Ó³»-based dining option to the hospital,¡± says Candice Edey, AHS Senior Operating Officer for Grande Prairie. ¡°I appreciate the patience of the community as we worked toward bringing in a restaurant that will offer fresh, healthy meals for staff and visitors.¡±
Good Earth Coffeehouse operates at several other AHS healthcare facilities. More details about operating hours and menu options will be shared closer to the opening date.
