LAC LA BICHE ¡ª Local and area residents are invited to hear from Â鶹ӳ»­ (AHS) North Zone leadership about local healthcare delivery and services at a virtual meeting of the Lakeland Communities Health Advisory Council (HAC) on April 17 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

• Bring your community¡¯s voice forward to provide input on local and regional health.
• Hear from local AHS leadership and provide feedback to AHS regarding healthcare services to inform decision-making.
• Learn more about AHS¡¯ Virtual Chronic Pain Program and local recruitment efforts.
• Meet the members of the Lakeland Communities HAC.

HACs play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Â鶹ӳ»­ in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.

Â鶹ӳ»­ is the provincial health authority responsible for planning and delivering health supports and services for more than four million adults and children living in Â鶹ӳ»­. Our mission is to provide a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Â鶹ӳ»­ns. Our current focus is on reducing emergency department wait times, improving EMS response times, increasing access to surgeries, and improving patient flow.
