Orthopedics Clinics - Pediatric
Provides assessment, intervention, education and follow-up for children who require surgical or medical (non-surgical) management of conditions of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons).Reasons for referral include:
- general orthopedic care (fractures and acute infections or injuries)
- leg-length discrepancies (either congenital or acquired)
- hip instability (congenital dislocated hip (CHD)
- Legge-Perthes disease); tumors of the bones or muscles
- scoliosis and other spinal disorders
- foot deformities (club feet, flat feet)
- musculoskeletal problems associated with Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy or other neuromuscular diseases.
