Southern Âé¶¹Ó³»­ Adult Home Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Program

Offers education and support to adult patients and their families to manage their enteral tube or intravenous feeding therapy at home.

This is a specialized service for adult patients in Southern Âé¶¹Ó³»­ requiring enteral / parenteral nutrition therapy for a non-functioning or inaccessible gut.

Provides:

  • enteral and parenteral supplies
  • education to manage their care at home, usually with a support person and in some cases with Home Care support
  • ongoing monitoring plus 24-hour on-call telephone nursing support in conjunction with the primary care physician
