Support Services - Outpatient / Outreach: Counselling

 Location: Prairie North Plaza

The Preschool Mental Health Program will help support parents and caregivers to help understand and meet the social emotional needs of their child(ren).

Services offers:

  • Screening and assessment tools to identify current strengths and areas of need relating to social and emotional development
  • Support and information sharing to increase parent / caregiver knowledge, skills and confidence about their child’s mental health
  • Coaching and modelling parent-child interaction to encourage the child’s positive relationships, self-calming and emotional awareness
  • Coordinating referrals & mental health resources and supporting effective transitions to other services when necessary
  • Support to implement recommendations of mental health therapists and specialists into daily routines and relationships
  • Support can be offered to community professionals to increase their knowledge regarding social emotional development (eg. ASQSE training)

This service is provided by Âé¶¹Ó³»­ and Âé¶¹Ó³»­ contracted service providers.
