Information Technology Analyst

Your IT specialist

Information technology (IT) analysts provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives, and collaborate on larger teams to support the organization¡¯s technology and computer infrastructure.

They also provide direct support to AHS staff by handling various IT services and requests as well as resolving related IT issues.

Compensation

$31.21 - $52.03 per hour

Diploma or degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

Duties

  • Knowledgeable in data processing, hardware platforms, systems networking, databases, enterprise software applications, web development and user support
  • Reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing software and programs to support application systems
  • Participate in the design phase of provincial IT software development projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and recommendations

  • Work with a high degree of independence and a designated client base
  • Work with various clients and staff as well as other corporate departments such as Finance, Communications, and Human Resources
  • Collaborate with larger project teams to enhance and support the organization¡¯s clinical and non-clinical technology and computer infrastructure
