Our Surgery 101 program helps to minimize the stress and anxiety for children coming to the Â鶹ӳ» Children¡¯s Hospital for surgery. A Child Life Specialist will work with your child to prepare them for surgery through play and self-expression activities, while also providing information, support and guidance to families.
During this program your child will:
Surgery 101 is offered on Tuesdays at 11:00 am at the Â鶹ӳ» Children¡¯s Hospital.
If you feel that your child would benefit from Surgery 101, register by emailing child.life@ahs.ca (we recommend attending within 1-2 weeks of your child¡¯s surgery date)
